Civil Rights Corps is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We do not receive any government funding. Our work is supported by contributions and grants from private foundations and individuals. Donations made to Civil Rights Corps directly fund crucial litigation, advocacy and accountability efforts, public education initiatives, local grassroots support and storytelling. All donations are tax deductible as determined by the IRS.

Ways To Give

Join us in the fight for equality and accountability. Here are a few ways that you can support our work:

Monthly Giving: Consider making your donation a monthly contribution. Through our donations page you can select an amount that is comfortable for you and select the “monthly” option. You will receive a receipt for each donation you make.

Stocks and Securities: Making a gift to Civil Rights Corps via stock, or other securities (such as bonds or mutual funds), allows you to have an immediate impact on the fight for equality and accountability. The total value of your gift is tax-deductible as long as it has been held for at least one year. There is no obligation to pay any capital gains tax on the appreciated value. Your stock gift will be acknowledged as fully deductible when the funds are received or something along those lines.  My thinking with this slight change is that I don’t want donors to assume the date is when their broker transfers the stock to CRC which is often the assumption. Donors often assume that as soon as their broker sends the stock that will be the date acknowledged, this is often the case with December donations.

Donor Advised Funds: Including a contribution to Civil Rights Corps through your Donor Advised Fund can make an immediate impact on our efforts supporting our most vulnerable communities.

Form 990s

On an annual basis, Civil Rights Corps files a Form 990 with the Internal Revenue Service. These forms include financial data and important information about the organization’s mission, governance, management, and programs. Our 990 forms can be found through ProPublica.

Audited Financial Statements
