Brianna Joyner(She/Her)

Administrative Assistant
brianna@civilrightscorps.org

Brianna joined CRC as the Administrative Assistant, where she plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of the organization’s day-to-day activities.

Prior to joining CRC, Brianna dedicated her time and skills to serving various communities in need. She served as a member of Americorps National Civilian Community Corps, where she actively participated in projects aimed at supporting underfunded communities across the United States. This experience allowed her to develop a strong passion for assisting vulnerable populations.

Brianna continued her mission of serving marginalized communities by working at Fairfax County’s Domestic Violence Shelter and Calvary Women’s Services in Southeast D.C. Through these experiences, she witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by communities affected by the intersectionality of criminalization and victimization within the criminal-legal system. These encounters further deepened her commitment to take action and make a positive impact on these communities.

I do this work because of my history of lived experiences both personally and vicariously with America’s complex social systems, as well as my continuously renewed devotion to see systemic change and justice for black, brown and poverty impacted communities.
